I've recently read mention of a program called "WordSearch" which sounded like a repository of Bible references and lexicons, in a similar vein to eSword. Does anyone here use it and know if it's pro's and con's?

For studying the Hebrew and Greek word definitions and their usage, etc, I judiciously use resources such as eSword, BibleWorks, and PC Study Bible. Each have their own advantages, eSword its reasonable number of reference works, and BibleWorks and PC Study Bible for their sheer speed and flexibility in searches.

Thank you for any input.

It is one of three Bible Study programmes that Lifeway purchased. QuickVerse was their other major purchase.  Most of  the resources from QuickVerse 10 were migrated to WordSearch.

Either QuickVerse 8 or QuickVerse 9 was the last STEP compatible release of QuickVerse.  Most of the STEP resources from that release can be utilised as is, from within e-Sword.

Eyeballing things, it looks like WordSearch 12 Preaching Library Silver is pretty close to QuickVerse 8 biggest library set.

WordSearch's main competitors were QuickVerse, PC-Study Bible, and Olive Tree.  I'm surprised WordSearch is still around, because e-Sword was putting pressure on it from below,  Logos was putting pressure on it from above, and Olive Tree from the side.

If WordSearch has a resource that you absolutely have to have, and can't obtain in any other format, then go for it.  Otherwise, stick with BibleWorks, PC Study Bible, and e-Sword.

BTW,BibleWorks is no longer distributed.
