I am using  ToolTip for the first time.  I have a vowel pointed Hebrew New Testament that I want to create a module for.

When I create the BBLX file the Hebrew shows as uni-code rather than Hebrew.

This is what my ToolTip header looks Like:

#define description=Delitzsch NT

#define abbreviation=DNT_PDS

#define comments=Delitzsch Hebrew New Testament

#define version=1

#define strong=0

#define Left2Right=0

#define ot=1

#define nt=1

#define font=DAVID

#define apocrypha=0

The line feed characters do not show here, but they show in toolTips.

Where have I gone wrong?

Thanks for your help.

RIGHT2LEFT didn't work, but I did change header to have that in it.

The section highlighted in red is incorrect only the mark should be in red, You have the font in the header defined as "DAVID" e-Sword uses the font called "Titus Cyberbit Basic" for Hebrew, Greek and Latin text by default so change "DAVID" to "default". Then make sure e-Sword's font setting for Hebrew is set to "Titus Cyberbit Basic"

The issue of setting the font as Default is that whatever font that has been selected as default in e-Sword is the default, and may not be the actual font that is needed. Recommend to set the "default" font within the resource file as #define font=HEBREW then you (hopefully) should be home and hose.

The Edit:

Forgot to add this:

Also set the RightToLeft filter to 1

Below is a Screenshot of what your settings should like when the resource is opened in SQLite Database Manager

Hebrew Settings in SQLite DB Manager.png

So what you see in the Screenshot, the definitions you set in the resource file in T4 should reflect the settings you see in SQLite DB Manager.

Hope like crazy that helps

Blessings,
