When I perform a word search the Extended Bible Search function why do some of the resulting verses look normal, like this:

Psa_72:14  (ASV)  He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight:

and some display codes, like this:

Psa_74:2  (ASV)  Remember thy congregation, which thou hast gotten of old, Which thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of thine inheritance; {\cf15\i And} mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.

or this:

Psa_18:1  (NASB)  {\b For the choir director. A {\cf15\I Psalm} of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said,} "I love You, O LORD, my strength."

or even worse, like this:

Job_30:15  (NET)  Terrors are turned loose{\cf6\super 34} on me;\par \tab they drive away{\cf6\super 35} my honor like the wind,\par \tab and like a cloud my deliverance has passed away.\par

and this:

Job_5:4  (MLV)  \viewkind4\uc1\ltrpar\nowidctlpar\tx720\tx1440\tx2160\tx2880\tx3600\tx4320\tx5040\tx5760\tx6480\tx7200\tx7920\tx8640\tx9360\tx10080\lang1033\f0\fs22 His sons are far from safety and they are crushed in the gate. Neither is there any to deliver them, \cf0\i0\b0\ulnone\nosupersub

Is there a setting I can change to avoid this? Thanks for your help.

GW

Because the old BBLX Bibles using RTF codes while the Apple BBLI Bibles using HTM codes

e-Sword 11.2.2 is less compatible with the old BBLX Bibles.

Try to update the modules by re-downloading it (and you may change the BBLX extension into BBLI).

There is an Apple converter (It works not on the official modules that are locked).

To convert BBLX Bibles into BBLI Bibles:

As I understand it, BBLI files are for Apple products such as the IPad and IPod. BBLX files are for Windows operating systems. I am using a computer with the WIndows operating system. However, I did try downloading the latest version of the MLV (the translation where I am seeing the most codes) and installed it. It is a BBLX file. I still have the same results in the Extended Search window where I see lots of codes. I am also running e-Sword 11.1.0. I have been afraid to upgrade to 11.2.2 because of all the issues I have seen in the forums.

Any other ideas?

I am looking for a better or perhaps, more understandable answer and solution to my question.

Katoog,

Despite my doubts and misunderstanding I followed your suggestion of upgrading to 11.2.2 and then using the e-Sword PC to Apple Converter to convert my MLV2019.bblx to MLV2019.bbli. This fixed my problem when using the Extended Bible search. I apologize for doubting you. Thank you for your help.
