Hello...
So far after an uprgade that included Windows 10 features (?), the blurry font scaling (DPI scaling) has not been fixed.
My DPI scaling is only 125% and e-Sword looks awful.

Is there an alternative software to use until this gets fixed? I'd rather use even a clumsy website like BibleGateway instead of messing with my eyes on blurry font.
If you right click on the e-Sword program within it's folder you can attempt to change the DPI scaling issue in [Compatibility - Change high DPI settings] where 'system (enhanced)' in 'High DPI scaling override' is... however...

it still looks somewhate blurry. I can't imagine anything higher than 125%... and this is on a small wide 15-inch, 1080-res screen.

I sent an e-mail off to Rick Meyers... [removed by moderator]

Also:

Please address mainly the above but there is also a bug where once launched the title bar only looks inactive or in the background of programs/windows... yet once minimized and (maximized) restored it functions fine. Anyone else with that issue too?

Sorry, Rick did take the time to respond... so I take that back... and it was before my posting.
(Although, where did my last unanswered question disappear to years ago?)

Unfortunately he suggests my own remedy with 'Compatitblity - Change DPI settings - etc.'

I wish this was fixed. Nothing is as simply usable as e-Sword; especially for much copying and pasting neatly to docs. Not Xiphos,TheWord, etc..

Hello,

Your account was just created a day or two ago. So, you wouldn't have an unanswered question from years ago, at least not on this forum under your current username.

I removed a few of your comments in your original post. Let's try not to make all caps derogatory comments about a free software product and its author. Let's also remember that e-Sword for the PC is free to use and no one owes us anything, outside of perhaps troubleshooting paid modules. Let's try to keep things respectful, please.

Thanks,

Josh

Dunno what he said, but I can guess. That said, when it comes to being respectful you are dead right..

Just to let you know, you're doing a great job, and appreciate all your puffing and panting from all the strenuous and grunting work work.

Blessings,

To the admin:

Josh, you have it wrong and paint me as some wacko.
I e-mailed Rick directly from the e-Sword website. You could infer that from my 2nd post. That was my initial issue; don't misunderstand.
My censored comments were probably unnecessary... yet by your censorship they look and imply something worse that others >ahem< fill in with their own imaginations.
I was respectful in my email to Rick and am more casual on a message board as that is how message boards go.
And I will not bow down to any free software maker... if they do not make a fully "Windows" functional "Windows" program then I have an issue.

Good grief. Having to defend myself on a Bible software message board about a windows 10 issue that no constructive replies have been made to. Time to go back to lurking.
