In looking for a cause to this problem last week I compared the Syswow64 folders between the PCs where e-Sword ran normally and where it failed to start. No difference as far as I could tell.

I have been a e-Sword fanatic ever since the very beginning.

Now, I have been stumped for some time.  Here is the problem:

Upgraded to the latest Version of e-Sword and the ToolTip Creator by BH.

When I load my .rtf file into the TooTip, it doesn't show the Path and Filename at the Top.

But, that's not the only problem.  I am creating a Book collection of Charles Spurgeon's

Works.  The problem here is that Hyperlinks don't work when creating an ..refi (HD) Module.

I create the proper Bookmark, then create the Hyperlink in the Table of Contents to take

the user to the Bookmark where a particular book is located, and it doesn't work.

What gives?  I have been creating e-Sword user for a long time and cannot figure out

why Hyperlinks don't take me to the Bookmark.  For instance, each book in the Spurgeon

Book Collection would idealy have it's own bookmark that coincides with that book's lisiing

in the Table of Contents.  When I click on the Hyperlink in the Table of Contents, the little

window pops up reminding the User to Hit ''Control" and CLICK with the Mouse.   Nothing

happens!!  It just sits there and looks at me.  I thought this problem would go away when

the HTML capability was added to e-Sword.

For those who have downloaded the latest Version of Spurgeon's Book Collection dated

11/26/18, would you check out the first link in the Table of Contents and let me know if it

works for you?  I am fully aware of how to create and Internal Link, and external Link and

Bookmarks.  Haven't tried created external links, because I'm still wrestling with this

problem of getting the Hyperlinks to work for the Bookmark(s).....

Any solutions?   I'd appreciate your comments.   Thanks....

From the user guide

A bookmark must be used in the same note where it’s defined. For example, you cannot define a bookmark in one study note and hyperlink to the bookmark from a different study note. The same restrictions apply to journal and topic notes.

If it is resolved, I need to know what to do.  I still cannot run 11.2.2.  I still get the same error as originally.

Try a fresh download just to be sure. I know Rick did update the installer but it does not change the version of e-Sword from 11.2.2

Embarrassing.

I try downloading e-Sword.

Get the setup file and it doesn't setup.

What am I doing wrong?

I can't find it on my drive anywhere.

I got it off the e-Sword Site.

Is there one that self-extracts and sets up a desktop icon shortcut?

Check the size of the downloaded file in file explorer window, it should be 58,482 KB, smaller if you look at properties, 57.1 MB (59,887,616 bytes)

If you have something smaller then you have not got a full download.

When you installed, did you get the advert at the end where your web browser opens begging you to donate?

What operating system are you using?

What antivirus type software do you have running?

Search your drive for e-sword.exe
