The program causing this issue with CTRL+C is "VIBER desktop". 

When I close this program by right click and exit, then eSword functions properly.

Can someone please take a look and see if they can replicate this?

 

Keep in mind that all other applications can access the clipboard while Viber is on.

This leads me to conclude that the problem lies with e-sword.

Additionally,

 

I noticed that the problem is not entirely continuous. 

i.e. While Viber is running, you may get some short durations of time, or some chapters in Daniel which may end up getting captured. In the next second, the error may come up again. So bear this in mind.

I a having the same issue, when I use crtl +c to copy a verse, it akes an sound and tells me it cant copy to the clipboard, but when I use crtl +v it pastes the content that I copied.

 

I do not like errors, so its not something that i just have to live with,

 

I did a complete uninstall, then a fresh reinstall, then I only copied the bibles, dic, topics, alone rather that copying from a back up folder everything.

 

and the error came back after three uses of ctrl +c

 

I a using setup 1110.exe, I do not like the newer versions as one of them removed one of the tabs I like to use.

Now years later
I'm on the same page with this error coming up for me?

Was there any fixes or ways to avoid this?

 

 

Like the way i get around now trying to copy a verse is spam the CTRL + C button couple times to get pass the 3 or 4 errors and then it finally copies...
