In editors I have created a 'topic notes' to store all the verses I have highlighted. Now I see they are not in order by book, chapter, and verse. How do I sort them to be in the order of Scripture??

I now have another question that isn't related to original question; how do I chose to use 'Rich Text Editor' on here??

Thank you to all of you here and may God bless your day!!

Jenn

What does your list look like?  Just references?  Reference and text?  Different versions?

e-Sword itself will not sort your list.  If it just a list of references, and you are using Windows, you can use the Bible Popup in the utilities listed in my signature line to sort the list, and "tooltip" them.

I guess I should have given more information; the verses have the book, chapter, and verse reference along with the verse itself. As I read my Bible and highlighting verses I would then pick out that verse in e-Sword and copy it into the topic 'my highlighted verses'; after doing this for awhile I noticed the verses weren't in alphabetical order by book / chapter / verse # as I just assumed they would be and no way to sort them. After I posted my question on here I just took some time to cut & paste until everything was in order; now when I wish to add a verse I first go to the spot in the topic and create a space to where I want to insert the verse I'm adding.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out; I looked over your Tooltip and it is too much for my mind and memory (or lack thereof) to understand; after I read a few sentences the content of what I have read previous is gone.

God bless you,

Jenn

Take a Screenshot of what you are having difficulties with, and then we can provide the help you want. As they say, "A picture paints a thousand words." Or better still if you have a Screen Recording program, do a video of what the problem is, as that would then would paint a million words.

Easier to actually "show" what is going on, rather than to try to verbally describe it.

Does the Topic Notes file ONLY contain the verses you want or is there commentary in between?  And, are they all the same version?  Is so, There is an easy way to sort them using the program e-Sword HotKey.
