Here’s my problem: I was studying some Greek sentences in a book, ΝΟΤ ΙΝ e-Sword. Came across a word I did not know, “λαμεχ”. Went to e-Sword. Although I have lexicons and dictionaries in e-Sword HD on my iPad I was not able to look up the word since I did not know the Strong’s number (needed for the lexicons) and entering the greek word in the dictionaries came up empty. So, is there a dictionary of Greek words available so that I could enter any Greek word, e.g., λαμεχ and get the english gloss? Would I need to know the lemma? Is there a module?

λαμεχ is Lamech (see Luk 3:36) but the problem is a capital letter and an accent: Λάμεχ  in most lexicons and books.

The only lexicon here that can read Greek words without accents and caps is GRVi.dcti

Greek New Testament with Variants (interlinear) from Eliran Wong

http://www.biblesupp...to-lsju-mounce/

You can activate the GRVi.dcti lexicon by selecting and click a Greek word if the text lacks caps and accents.

Thank you Katoog but you have misunderstood my question. Suppose I am reading a Koine Greek passage in a hard-copy book. I see a word Ι don’t know, e.g., άνθρωποι. Now I need to look it up in a Greek lexicon but I don’t know the Strongs number. What app/module can I use to look it up?

A good comparison would be finding an English word in a hard copy commentary that I don’t know. I would then go to an online dictionary or perhaps e-Sword module like Easton’s to find the meaning. Hope that clarifies my question.

Yes, such a dictionary is available in some of my uploads, e.g.

http://www.biblesupp...nt-interlinear/

File: OGNT.dcti - You can lookup any Greek words in OGNT with this dictionary.

Usage:
In PC, click a Greek word, and check result in OGNT dictionary.
In Mac / e-Sword X, select a Greek word > Right-click / Long-hold > "Define" > OGNT
In iPhone / iPad, select a Greek word > Long-tap > "Lookup" > OGNT

You can also type Greek word in search field.

I remembered I had once uploaded a Greek dictionary here, which supports unaccented Greek.  That makes typing in mobile device much easier.
