Hi Katoog,

When you posted this, it seriously bugged me, and thought that something like this has never been a been a part of the e-Sword search engine, and in reality it should be, I sent Rick a message about it, and suggested that this option be included in the next version of e-Sword.

I'll post his reply once I get it.

Blessings,

OK. here is Rick Meyers' reply.

Stephen,

SQLite does not know how to perform Accent Insensitive searches.  REGEX is what would have to be used instead.

Trust this information is of help to those concerned.

OK. further to what Rick Meyers emailed me, he also sent me another email and give some more information which will help you in this.

Stephen,

The newer HTML formatted e-Sword Bibles are pure Unicode characters, so REGEX searches work nicely for the accented characters.  I am not sure how the T4 utility handles the creation of HTML Bibles but having the HTML code of ú instead of ú will render REGEX useless.

The REGEX search patterns that would find Jesús can be Jesús, Jes[u|ú]s, or Jes.s depending upon what all you want returned.

In His service,

Rick Meyers

As to what T4 can handle in this respect, I'm certain that Brent Hildebrand will give the relative information.

Again, I trust this information will prove helpful to you.
