I was wondering if anyone knew what English translation was used for the Interlinear Greek new Testament.

I emailed thechan.com and he could not recall the source modules that were used to create it.

I also noticed that the strongs numbering system as the TVM #'s as well. Does this present a copyright issue?

Whether or not they present a copyright issue depends upon the source of the Strong'sNumbers and TVM #s. It is possible to add both of those to any resource, using nothing more than the Hebrew and Greek text, and a computer script.

FWIW, I'm rewriting a script in python that does just that.

You have to use the extended search function, and your eyes.
IGNT: 1 Corinthians 10:16: ... Of Blessing which we bless not Fellowship of the blood of the Christ....
KJV: The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ...

Using fellowship of the blood as the search string, I have:
  • Amplified Bible;
  • AUV-NT;
  • A Literal Translation;
  • Voice in the Wilderness;
  • EWB-CB;
  • Phillips-NT;
  • JB2000;
  • (This is where search died on me. It chokes on JB2000 1 Corinthians 10:16.)
as possible candidates;

Using the Verse Compare function, it dies on the LEB.
Anyway:
  • VW: ..of blessing which we bless, is it not the fellowship of the blood of Christ....
  • JB2000: ..of blessing which we bless, is it not the fellowship of the blood of Christ....
  • EBTV..of the blessing which we bless, is it not the fellowship of the blood of Christ....
That is far as I can go, before e-Sword fails on me. :( My guess is that if I removed my non-English, non-Greek Bible resources, I could go further. FWIW, I have 1,904 files with an extension of ".bblx" in my e-Sword program directory. Almost half of them are viewed as dupes by e-Sword. [And to think that back in Feb 2007, when I discovered that e-sword would not display more than 250 Bibles, Rick's response was "who would have thought that there would be that many Bibles for e-Sword". Now I have more than 1,000 different Bible translations and versions.]

It is possible that the English source is a resource that is not available in e-Sword format, except as part of the IGNT. In looking at various other passages it generally follows a reasonable literal translation of the Greek. Translating κοινωνία as "fellowship" rather than "communion" is one of the exceptions.

Oops, you are asking about the IGNT+. I don't have that one installed here. Whilst I'd like to assume that it has the same source text, I won't guarantee that. IGrNT+ appears to have the same source text as the IGNT.

Thanks for trying to figure that out. It is definately an older translation as it still uses Thy's. Maybe the English text was just put in by Strong's#.
