Hello
Why does the e-sword no longer work on Windows 10?
I can not change or save data.
Is there a solution for this?

Then the ToolTip Tool can not be installed without error on Windows 10.
Although the program is running, but if I want to create a .bblx file error message comes
Report the Following:
FILE ARGUMENT ERROR
AppendStart2 [2] *
BGen2 [31]
<[fmVT.mModules.mBnlx.mSaved2; Click]
<[fmVT; Wait]
Start [44]

thanks for your help

Best regards
Miro

If e-Sword and T4 worked before the issues you have just encountered, and now they aren't working now is purely due to something had been changed by either what you have done, or something changed in your system. So, what was changed, and how was it changed?

Hello

I have not changed anything in this sense.
I bought a new laptop with Windows 10.
Before, I had a laptop with Windows 7.
After E-Sword installation on Windows 10 nothing works.
On my old PC with  Windows 7, E-swort  running still
properly.
Only on the new laptop (Win 10) not.
Am desperate

greeting

Miro

Try this out:

  1. Uninstall e-Sword from your new laptop
  2. Reinstall (New installation) of the latest version of e-Sword (ver 11.10) as Administrator.
  3. Reboot your computer.

Do the same for ToolTipTool NT.

I think after that you shouldn't have a problem. Let me know how it went for you.

OK, just by looking at the path you installed e-Sword seems to show the cause of your error.

e-Swords default path is C:\Program Files (x86) e-Sword. C: being the Hardrive (HD) or Solid State drive (SSD) where Windows is installed, and is the default location where all 32 bit Apps are installed.

Hi

Thanks for your support ...
I have solved the problem now.
It was "Windows Defender Security Center" problem

OK, great stuff. Glad to hear you got it fixed.

Can you tell me what Windows Defender was doing to create the problem, and what you did to resolve the issue?

You did not say which version of Tooltip Tool NT you were using.  By the error report you provided, it must be an old version!

I don't think so...

My all version is new...

For some reason, my windows account has no administrative rights.
Although I gave myself the admin rights in DOS explicitly.
I could start the program but I could not save any changes.

I just found out by chance. Because…
I opened a second administrative account in Win 10.
And only the e-Sword installed.
At the first e-Sword program start (in the new account) the Defender requested Admin permissions

The solution of my problem:

The Problem come from  the Defender:

Start (Home) > input box > here writing "Defender" > in Right box choose the "Defender Security Center"

will Open it a new Window… Then…

Virus & Threat Protection > Virus & Threat Protection Settings > Add or remove exclusions >

double click on "+"-Add exclusion > file > and choose  the e-sword.exe file.

Now i can work wihout problems

Greeting

Miro

In German Languge:

Problem Schilderung:

Start > Eingabefeld >  "Defender" > rechts "Defender Security Center" wählen >
Viren- & Bedrohungsschutz > Einstellungen für Viren- & Bedrohungsschutz >
Ausschlüsse hinzufügen oder entfernen.  >  + Ausschluss hinzufügen (Doppleklick auf das +)
Weiter...
Ausschluss hinzufügen > Dateien > e-sword.exe auswählen.
Ein Ausschluss gilt auch für alle Unterordner eines Ordners.
