Have a friend who has a desktop computer - but is way out in an area with no internet service.

Is there a way for someone who has internet service to download E-Sword onto a flash drive or disk and give it to him so he can install it on his desktop?

How would that be done?

Download the E-Sword installer, then move or copy it to a flash drive. Your friend will be able to plug the flash drive into their computer and run the installer which will install the E-Sword program on their computer.

With no internet access however your friend will be limited to just the basic E-Sword set with a limited number of modules

Tj is right, although if you also transfer any modules you think he might find useful to that flash drive, your friend can move them from the flash drive to the e-Sword directory, which effectively installs those modules giving your friend more than just the basic install package.
