Found this article describing the great idea of using Dropbox to synchronize e-Sword modules across multiple computers. Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. :)

Hi, I haven't tried this tutorial but I have used drop box and see no reason why it wouldn't work.

This will have value for module builders who perhaps are working together on a massive project or projects. For instance over at Dr. Dave's website where there is proof-reading or something to that nature.

I am now trying to use Dropbox to synchronize on multiple computers. E-Sword keeps creating a new Study Notes file on my local computer, however, and will not access the Study Notes file in Dropbox. The Topic Notes file works fine, but has a dropdown box on one of my computers, which allows me to pick the local computer file or the Dropbox file. Has anyone experienced this problem with the Study Notes file? What is the solution?

What is the solution?

Do not use the default e-Sword resource name for any content that you want to preserve/synchronize, or otherwise access from two or more different computers.

I am using version 10.0.4 and am trying to sync between my laptop and desktop using Dropbox. I have changed the location in Options - Resources as directed in the article about this topic. However, when I reopen eSword, it is still looking at the original location of the files in My documents for my notes instead of the new location in DropBox. I also moved the bible files to the Dropbox and it seems to be working with those. Can someone help me?

Where do I use the control right-click open? In eSword in the option resources?
Mark
