well, Hello, I am from Argentina, Buenos Aires. and I found this site, I just downloaded a King James bible from 1769, and I see also that you have some forum about bible doctrine, which is interesting, since is hard to find an active forum these days. Well, I would like to know if there is actually an unmodified King James bible  (I am yet to check the one I downloaded, because I dont have internet in my apartment) which has not any extra marking, like colored letters, (I know color can be removed by setting the font color in options, thou) but mostly I would like to have the italic font removed, something wich I found somehow annoying. Also I would like to know if it ever existed a King James version in ancient english. There is one version in ancient spanish, (the one from 1569) But I have not found any bible in ancient english (is not that I actualy understand ancient english, but I would like to do it , because I think some names and words are not rendered exactly the same as in the modern versions ) Like, e.g. Moses is Mosen. Also in the same case, I think the original Strong version had this names described, but they were removed in the modern version.

All electronic editions of the KJV 1769 except photo based scans (PDF or microfilms) are reprints with minimum 400 corrections.

Even the 1769 reprints  are not identical:

e-Sword Vs theWord Vs Bible Analyzer Vs mySword

Act 3:7 ankle (KJVeS BA KJVmS)
Act 3:7 ancle (KJVTW)

Rom 4:18 nations; (KJVTW KJVmS)
Rom 4:18 nations, (KJVeS BA)

Rom 4:19 Sarah's (KJVTW KJVmS)
Rom 4:19 Sara's (KJVeS BA)

Rom 9:9 Sarah (KJVTW KJVmS)
Rom 9:9 Sara (KJVeS BA)

1Pe 3:6 Sarah (KJVTW KJVmS)
1Pe 3:6 Sara (KJVeS BA)

1Co 15:27 saith all (KJVeS BA)
1Co 15:27 saith, all (KJVTW KJVmS)

1Jn 5:8 Spirit (KJVeS BA)
1Jn 5:8 spirit (KJVTW  KJVmS)

Jer 35:6 [neither] ye (KJVeS BA KJVmS)
Jer 35:6 [neither ye] (KJVTW)

Psa 17:6 [and] hear (BA)
Psa 17:6 [and hear] (KJVeS KJVTW KJVmS)

For the italics are the italics ending before or after punctuation.

Worse are modern editions that adding their own errors.

Mar 15:2 .. said unto him, Thou (KJV1769)

Mar 15:2 ... said unto them, Thou (Gutenberg Project, Sacred Text Website, KJV1987, some Oxford and American versions)

(their's, our's, her's and your's are bad English)

Jos 13:14 tribe of Levi (KJV1769)

Jos 13:14 tribes of Levi (corrupt editions)

Jos 4:5 ye up (KJV1769)
Jos 4:5 you up (error if thou, thee and thy are used in the edition).

thanks for your comment, I really never thought even there was errors among same editions. But what always intrigued me, is why is usualy not clearly declared the year of the version, and most sites, just say king james, and I think King James usualy went through some revisions, which were not really clear to me. I have to admit I didnt actualy remmbered there was a version from the 1700s.

Most of the data of the differences in King James editions has logos1560(Rick Norris) and BibleProtector(Matthew Verschuur).
I did also research in the electronic editions of the King James because my own translation used the Webster Bible as base in Januari 2012.
The Webster Bible is an American revision of a King James editon.
In the Restored Holy Bible 7 that I uploaded yesterday did I deal with King James differences in order to find errors.

The italic of Psa 17:6 is corrected in Restored Holy Bible 7
Psa 17:6 [and] hear (BA RHB7)
Psa 17:6 [and hear] (KJVeS KJVTW KJVmS Webster)

A discussion about King James editons is for the Bible Interpretations Forum here.
