My computer which has my esword installed is no longer online. I only use an Android phone for net surfing but eSword.net will not download to an android device.
Is there a repository somewhere that will allow me to download the 11.1.0 install update?
Thanks for any help.

There is no Android version of e-Sword, e-Sword is available for Windows PC's and Mac/Apple computers only. The current version of e-Sword is 11.1 from e-Sword.net

Suggest you actually use your PC. If that is not an option, then get yourself a Windows Surface Book Pro or Surface tablet, or a Windows Laptop so that you can use e-Sword. Moreover, restricting yourself to browse the net purely on your phone you limit yourself just to that tiny device. That has to be crazy.

Just a note on the Surface Book Pro (or is the Surface tablet ... pays to check that out), I think you also have the ability to bang in a Mobile SIM card and use mobile data.

For actual work and study I use both my Tablet and PC, but mostly the PC. My I barely use my phone for doing stuff online. Screen size is just too small. Moreover. Having now three monitors on my PC is really great. e-Sword on two, Web browser on the other for research makes doing work like this really great.

I can say a lot more, but I think this will do.

Blessings,

Stephen (Php 1:21).

If I am reading your post correctly, you want to install e-Sword 11.x but for some reason, you cannot bring the laptop up online.

If you make a donation on the e-Sword website they will send you a CD/DVD with the latest version as a thank you. At least they used to send a thank you CD, I must admit it has been a couple of years since I donated.  Here is the site.  http://www.e-sword.n.../support.html

This will also make you a member of that elite corp (less than 1% of users) who actually supports e-Sword financially.  ;-)

Hopefully, this will solve your problem.

Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)

"Defenders of the faith are inclined to be bitter until they learn to walk in the light of the Lord. When you have learned to walk in the light of the Lord, bitterness and contention are impossible." --Oswald Chambers, in Biblical Psychology from The Quotable Oswald Chambers.

If you can use the Chrome browser on your phone, set it to desktop mode and you will be able to download. The settings in Chrome is in the menu at the top right (the three dots)

Wow! Thank you BugHunter!!!

I finally am updated.

Sorry, but after the first several posts I was so taken back that I gave up for the day. Here I am a couple months later making another attempt to simply download an update and ran straightway into this old post which I'd totally forgotten about and PTL there was your simple and concise solution which worked great.

I do not have a laptop. My PC is offline by choice. I use an android not an apple (bet Adam wishes he hadn't either).

I am a part of that "elite" group of supporters that supports eSword but felt no desire to boast about it. Fact is, my first donation was in the late nineties or so when Rick Meyers first developed eSword. He is or was actually a neighbor of mine a mere 50 miles away in Franklin, TN.

Anyway, you really helped me out with your suggestion and I want to thank you.

Peace be with your pilgrimage until we meet.

Have a blessed Sabbath.
