I am working in a topic file.  When I copy and paste something into the file sometimes there are hyperlinks.  I want to keep the text but remove the hyperlink. I have been deleting the text and then retyping it without the hyperlink.  Is there a way to just leave the text but remove the link?

The easy way to solve is to copy the text to notepad first then to copy it from notepad to Tooltip NT

This how I remove hyperlinks in Libre Office.  Can be downloaded free from the net.

Highlite the text that has the hyperlink.

Right clk inside the highlite area

This will give you an option for removing the hyperlinks.

If you don't have Libre Office this may work in other program.

PS  NOTE the text for the HyperLink is not removed just the link itself.

THAT is NOT an eSword answer to the problem/issue of "Removing or Deleting" a hyperlink... we all know that and how to "Insert" or "Edit" the said hyperlink, but HOW ON GOD"S GREEN EARTH CAN THE HYPERLINK BE REMOVED FROM WITHIN eSword ??? !!!

If there is NOT a way to do it from within eSword, just say so, and maybe we can get it added as a future update !!!

Have a chat with Rick Meyers about it, and see what he has to say about it.

When it comes to stuff like what you mentioned, he is the bloke to see and talk about.

I thought I was the only one struggling with removing hyperlinks, so thanks for posting this question. It would be great to learn what other options are there instead of using additional text editor apps.

There is no way with in e-Sword to remove hyperlinks, having stated that e-Sword modules can be easily edited using e-Sword Tooltip NT which is the module creation tool for creating e-Sword modules.

An alternative to using Tooltip is using an online tool to remove the html from the text here are a couple of free online tools for doing this:

StripHtml:

Hallo

Unfortunately, none of these tips work for me.
A link already exists in the teaching field
which I cannot delete because a small function is intended for it.
Once a link has been added, it always exists even if I delete the text.
Can someone help.
I've been struggling with this problem for years.

no matter which new test is introduced. it is directly connected to the same hyperlink and I can't delete it

Please for a function that can delete this link

the second picture shows
everything was gray is is the same hyper link
and it always appears gray .... i think this is not normal

This worked for me:

Cut the text out of the notes editor, paste into a word processor and save as an .rtf file.

Then go to:

https://convertio.co/rtf-txt/

Upload the file.

Convert.

Download the converted file.

Open in the word processor.

Copy the text and paste it back into the study notes editor.

In Christ,

Jeff
