"The Unlocked Literal Bible is an open-licensed version of the Bible that is intended to provide a “form-centric” understanding of the Bible. It attempts to increase the translator’s understanding of the lexical and grammatical composition of the underlying text by adhering closely to the word order and structure of the originals.

Not sure what “form-centric” understanding of the Bible" is. This is how they describe the ULLB.

After looking at several verses I would have to say that it is somewhat  like the NLT, but the grammar is not as good. For what it is worth I would go with the LEB or ISV or even YLT.  Just my two cents.

Gal 2:20

I’m willing to compromise about many things, but not the Word of God

There must be conviction before there can be conversion

Over the years I have changed my 'go to Bible'. I started many, many years ago with KJV - it was basically the only Bible we used in the denomination I was associated with. Learnt all my memory verses in KJV. Then I moved on to RSV - the reason being, a shop had a good deal on a RSV with study helps and it looked impressive and I enjoyed using it immensely.

Then came the NIV Study Bible which became my 'go to Bible' for many years. I enjoyed it very much and God used it to help me be more effective in my ministry as I studied and listen to the Holy Spirit speak to me through Scripture. Later I bought a nice NKJV Ultra Thin Reference that was going cheap at a sale in a bookshop. It looked nice and once again God spoke to me through the pages of this version as I spent time studying and reading from it.

Just recently I picked up a NRSV Bible from a second hand bookshop and I am enjoying tis version.

I have all these in e-Sword and feel blessed that I can rapidly switch between the various versions, compare the various versions and continue to hear God speaking to me through His Word.

I am 70 years of age, and have been a Christian since the age of 12 and it still excites me that God continues to reveal His plans for me, helps me to better understand His love for me and also the things He wants and requires of me - Bible Study and hearing from God is an ongoing process and makes life so rich and more than worthwhile.

Psa 25:4-5  Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Psa 32:8  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

Blessings

Bob

Hi Bob,

This is also true with me in where I still get those goose bumps on my goose bumps as I read the Word of God. The one thing I've found in Scripture is that the depth of God knowing God is unfathomable, and with that, like what the Hymn writer said, "I stand amazed at in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene and wonder..." completely amazed and gobsmacked of all that He is.

Just can't get enough. Gotta have more.

Blessings,
