A couple of questions. I have a document I created in "word." Can I copy and paste the footnotes of that document into a topic notes that I have created. Is there a form of footnotes that can be added to topic notes?
Thanks

That is an interesting question.
From what I can see, e-Sword Note editors don't have the capability to edit or create Footnotes. And from what I can see, but may be wrong about this, T4 also doesn't have the capability of creating and editing Footnotes within e-Sword.
Now, before venturing on to answer you post, I thought I'd give it a go to see if any of the e-Sword editors are able to handle footnotes by saving an existing Word document as an rtf file, and then importing it into e-Sword. You can guess the results of that test... It didn't work.
So, as a result of that little test, it seems to me that the only way about creating an editing footnotes in e-Sword is to do it all manually within e-Sword and/or in T4.
Sorry that I can't help you more
