Hi

After installing e-sword V11.0.6 on my Surface Pro running Windows 10, I can no longer see the maps/images in Graphics Viewer. See screenshot attached.

Could you advise how this can be fixed?

Regards,

Eric

E-sword 11 changed things a bit in terms of what types of files it works with you might try reinstalling the map files to see if that fixes things

Hi Eric,

The problem you are experiencing is very intriguing, simply because I don't have that issue.

I noticed in the screenshot that you have tabs names up but no images, and this suggests to me that you may not have the right file type, as in a mapx, but rather an mapi file. It might be worth your while to check this out. If that is not the problem, then it might be a slight compatibility issue, so my recommendation is for you to update your graphic files using e-Sword's Download Manager.

Blessings,

Okay what is happening is E-Sword is listing the map modules as installed as the map module files are currently in your main E-Sword program folder.

Your best option is to first open E-Sword and then selection Options from the E-Sword menu which will open the Options drop down menu, from this menu select Resource and a small window will open showing you listings of all of your installed modules. The windows consists of five lists one for each of the following module types Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries, Devotionals and Graphics. The Graphics list displays a list of all of the installed map modules. Right click the name one of the modules and single option will pop up that says "Delete Resource Permanently" use this option to uninstall the map module. Once you have done this then go the e-sword download screen and see if the module can be downloaded again

Hello,

Thanks for your advice, I have checked the e-sword folder and found that there were abs.mapx files, so I think they are OK. I have also tried deleting the graphics via the <OPTIONS>  - <RESOURCE> - right-click and delete method, then reinstall them, but I still cannot see any graphics image :(

Any other suggestions? I am using a Surface Pro 3 and Windows 10. Any known incompatibility issues with e-sword here?

That was my best guess as to the solution to your problem I don't know about compatibility issues with Windows 10. There should be two e-sword folders on your system one located in your documents folder and the other in your programs folder, the only think I can think of is to check both folders for mapx files and delete them all directly from the folders and then try downloading a reinstalling again
