I am trying to help a friend get resource modules on his new Windows computer. It was pretty straight forward process I thought. However, the vast majority of the resources are in red letters and do not produce the "link" to download. Not sure what could be wrong here. He has a new computer, Windows 10, and e-Sword 11. (I am a Mac user so I am a little lost here.)

Are you trying to access the file through the E-sword web site or through the E-sword program.  The best way is through the E-sword program.  Click on download and choose what type of module you want eg. bible.  Pick the ones you want and click the download link at the top.

 

If you are doing this through Biblesupport  it is a different procedure.

See link below. It indicates that it is not e-Sword 11 that is running. Check in the main menu Help -> About, that it is 11.0.6
