I downloaded the Berean bible versions from this website, and I unzipped them and copied them to the e-sword install directory. e-sword does not see them. Then I downloaded and installed the module installer from the website, and used it on each of the modules, but e-sword still does not see the bible modules. I checked the usual download tab in e-sword, and could not find the bibles there. What am I doing wrong?

The file you download is a Zip file.  You have to unzip the file and have it extracted to the E-Sword directory.  Be sure to read the instructions and get the right files for your system.

I am afraid I had very limited experience with current pc version of e-Sword.

You may contact one of experienced PC users, like:

He is very helpful.  I think he is using e-Sword Berean bibles too.

The other place to check is from the main menu ->Options -> Resources

See that it is listed there, and is visible i.e has the box been checked?.

Perhaps you can post a screen shot of that whole dialog.

As it turns out, the key was under main menu->Options->Resources, because I had uninstalled e-Sword from the C: drive and reinstalled it to the F: drive, because of lack of space on the C: drive. I assumed that upon reinstall, that e-Sword would then use the F: drive location for things that had been on the C: drive before, but that had now been moved to the F: drive. When I checked the resources location under options, the C: drive was still the location where it was expecting the resources to be, so I changed that and restarted e-Sword, and voila! Now it sees the new bibles and such I had put into the new resource location. Nice, and thanks for the heads up, JPG and Eliran Wong.

If I had known about where to check for it's resource location, I would have found it quicker.
