Great day everyone,

Is it possible in any version of e-Sword to simultaneously search across all Commentary modules, versus just searching one commentary at a time?  Also, is this possible in any other pane, such as Dictionary, or the Reference Library?

The instructions manuals seem to suggest that searches can be performed across multiple "Topics" in the Reference Library, but I'm not sure precisely what this means, and oddly enough, no instructions are provided on how to actually do this.

Thank you,

Thomas

In reference library window, use the main menu item "Library -> Extend Search" In the window that opens select the books icon, and choose the resources you want to search.

Similar procedure for Comm, Bible, Dictionary. For those go to the main menu of e-Sword and look for "Extended Search" under the appropriate resource type you want to search. As per the other example, click on the book icon and select the resources to search.....

Thank you so much,

That's exactly what I wanted to know.  Bless you.

Hi Thomas,

Please allow me to make a genuine suggestion to you.

e-Sword has an excellent comprehensive and exhaustive user guide, of which the help you required is included in it. Not only that; the guide also covers every aspect of how one can do things in e-Sword. My suggestion is that you actually make and take the time to explore the e-Sword User's Guide with e-Sword running. This way you will become extremely familiar with all aspects of the program, and find new things you can do that you never thought was possible, or wondered how you can do it.

To access the e-Sword User's Guide, click on Contents in the Help Menu, or press the F1 button on your keyboard.

Trust the above information proves to you.

Blessings,
