I have a number of e-sword resources downloaded, but can't find anything that helps be determine if a word is singular or plural. Verb tense and things like that would also be helpful. For example, most render the word "gifts" to be plural in 1Cor.12:9...."gifts of healings", but I don't seem to have any resources that confirm that finding.
Thanks,
I heard that PC version of e-Sword supports search with regular expression, but Mac users has no luck. e-Sword X doesn't support search with regular expression. In this case, I like to search the raw data directly. it is more flexible indeed.
try downloading the attached file here. Open with notepad++ in PC or TextWrangler in Mac,
try this search field (make sure you select to enable regular expression): P[^\r\t]*?\tG1435$
then you will give result like below:
40 2 11 δῶρα, dōra gifts, N-ANP G1435
42 21 1 δῶρα dōra gifts N-ANP G1435
42 21 4 δῶρα, dōra gifts; N-ANP G1435
58 5 1 δῶρά dōra gifts N-ANP G1435
58 8 3 δῶρά dōra gifts N-ANP G1435
58 8 4 δῶρα· dōra gifts, N-ANP G1435
58 9 9 δῶρά dōra gifts N-NNP G1435
58 11 4 δώροις dōrois gifts N-DNP G1435
66 11 10 δῶρα dōra gifts N-ANP G1435
40 at the beginning means Matthew ... 66 means revelation
I like searching raw data, not sure if this help ...
as PC e-Sword supports search with regular expression, you may ask some PC e-Sword power users.
Blessings,
