Sorry for not understanding, and maybe I missed something along the way, but what is the confusion between your files and the normal Strong's? Are there major differences between them?

Strongs are root based alphabetic. But this system is root based and starting from Gen 1:1

 

 

(read from left to right)

Gen 1:1  בְּ^H1N118רֵאשִׁ֖ית^H2N144 בָּרָ֣א^H3N610 אֱלֹהִ֑ים^H4N169 אֵ֥ת^H5N118 הַ^H6N90שָּׁמַ֖יִם^H7N169 וְ^H8N91אֵ֥ת^H5N118 הָ^H6N90אָֽרֶץ^H9N226׃

 

The problem was that the H is linked to the Hebrew Strong lexicons or dictionaries.

 

From textual criticism viewpoint have I rather a system that ignores vowel-points so that מטה mı̂ṭṭāh, “bed.” מטה maṭṭeh “staff.” are in the same number for Gen 47:31

That's an old problem.  It had completely been solved.  New fixed files had been uploaded to https://github.com/e.../master/e-Sword

 

new implementation as follows:

3 kinds of links available in new files:

 

"R" follows by numbers (from R1 to R9236) - this set are arranged according to 9236 Hebrew lexemes in ETCBC database (edit ... not only handles same spellings but different meanings, also differentiate Hebrew words from Aramaic words)

"M" follows by numbers (from N1 to N641) - this set gives you Hebrew morphology based on ETCBC database

"H" follows by numbers (from H1 to H8674 & from H9001 to H9006) H1-H8674 are ordinary Strong's numbers, H9001-H9006 are prepositions/conjunctions/particles, which are not specified in Strong's numbers system.

 

Remarks: The new files are running very good in Mac e-Sword X, but I am not sure about PC.  According to Jon's comments, it seems to me that the file behaves differently in PC.  I had already emailed Rick about this.

Hi Katoog, thanks for explaining the issue.  It seems you managed to download those old files, though I removed shortly after I uploaded.  Please note that this old problem had been corrected.  new screenshots here for your reference.  Thanks for your interests.  welcomes corrections if you find any.  Please also note the potential problem in PC version I mentioned just above.  Screenshots were taken from my Mac.  Eliran

edit ... may I express my disagreement on removing vowels for your idea of "textual criticism viewpoint" ... with that said, you may still find an option for removing vowels in MySword collection available at https://github.com/e.../master/MySword

changes: entries on Hebrew morphology M001-M099 changed to M1-M99, aligning with tags in bible module
