Hi everyone,

The module “Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible”, AHLB, this font for Hebrew characters appear to be WingDing Type replacement. (Windows 10)

Is there any way to fix this so that the actual Ancient Hebrew characters are displayed, please?

Thanks for any help.

The problem is that Unicode not support Proto-Sinaitic (the alphabet script in the time of Moses) and even if the last version of Unicode support it then are still many Operating Systems and fonts not able to view it.

The Phonetician Alphabet (Paleo-Hebrew) in the time of David is an alternative. But I'm not sure that it is compatible with the RTF based e-Sword 10 and many fonts do not support it.

My worked fine until I recently updated to e-Sword 11.  I have a versions, dictionaries that the fonts no longer work.  I like progress, but seems like major version changes don't work smoothly. :-)

Try this download. It has the fonts as a separate download to install.

Any other suggestions?  I've used this module and have had Jeff Benner's fonts installed for years.  It quit working when I updated to version 11.  I just reinstalled and the fonts are still not working.

The font works in a word processing program and even works in the e-Sword editor, but not in the module.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Ron

Delete/move to another folder the current one you have and install the above one including the fonts. It worked for Hanna Huang above.

Deleting it and re-installing it was the key.  I tried to only re-install.  Thanks!

Thanks for helping.

AHLB Dictionary works well.

I tried to change Options->Fonts-> Hebrew : other Font into Ancient Hebrew so that I could read Strong+ with ancient Hebrew.
I can't find ancient Hebrew in the selection bar.  I have delete the Ancient Hebrew and install again.

Is there any way to let Esword recognise Ancient Hebrew in the Hebrew selection( Options->Fonts-> Hebrew )?

Thanks for any help.

Shalom.
