There are a lot of wonderful books out there that are complementary to the bible study app in ebook form. Is there a way to import eBooks into eSword?

Depending on what the type of file format the eBook is. If its epub, then its a no, and if its a pdf, that can be saved as a text file, and then from there using T4 (ToolTipTool NT), can be created as an e-Sword resource.

There are several programs that will convert epub files to PDF files, and from that a txt. file can be manufactured.

For getting content out of eBook formats, I like Calibre. Google it, along with DRM removal, to get content out of ebooks. Getting that content into e-Sword is possible with ToolTip NT, the e-Sword authoring tool.

Is there someone out there that would make modules for me to download into my eSword HD?
Id like to bring in many ebooks from STEM Publishing and Bible Truth Publishers.

Shari

You can cut and paste STEM Publishing and Bible Truth Publishers in t4 most of the works, which are in html format.  No need to insert extra steps like ebook into the process.

Blessings,

The epub books I have converted are in a compressed (zipped) HTML.  Unzip them and the load load into T4 quite nicely along with the formatting.  Use Calibre to extract the data.

Hi Brent,

OK, gotta have Calibre before being able to create it as an e-Sword resource. Well, at least it can be done by firstly going down the Calibre route.

Thanks for the information. May come in handy if I see something I want to create for e-Sword.
