JPG,

Bless you! Either "Select All" was ticked as default or I - for some unknown reason and at some unknown time in the past - had selected it. I now have it set to the four versions I frequently use. Many thanks!

The compare Bibles can be selected from the main menu -> Options -> compare

In the past there have been issues noted with compare, and it has been due to a faulty formatting of a module. Best way forward is to set a couple of Bibles in the compare and add and test until you find the problem module.

THANKS JPG!!!!

That was the solution -- or the key to finding the solution.  I unchecked all and started adding until I found the culprit!  It turned out to be "Version Septuaginta Griega" (LXX+).  I don't use this one and have other LXX resources, to I unchecked it and the NT compare works fine now.  No wonder no one else had the same issue, since they probably didn't have that version.

I'm not sure why that one was a problem, but at this point, I don't care.  :-)

The whole reason, in my opinion, to have and use the compare is to see as many versions as possible, so I have (had) them all checked.

Thanks, again, and blessings for helping me solve this.

-Ron

The text color box only allows Background, Popup, and Red Letter options.

I'm having the same problem. Has a solution been given?

When I triple click a verse to select it and then right click and select "copy verses", it not only remembers the highlighted verse but the following one as well.

Version 11.0.6

Has performance been mentioned/requested already?

I also use other Bible resources that draw on a quantity of different references but that perform orders of magnitude more quickly and responsively than eSword does at the moment.

Do you have some examples of what you mean?

Ditto on the question.

Performance can mean a wide range of things. So what kind of performance are you looking for?

That said, e-Sword performs just the way it always has ... really fantastic, no problems at all.

  • Doesn't crash (if I don't have an overkill of resources to load)
  • Give me what I want in respect to the information I'm looking for
  • Still the maximum of 3 Clicks to a resource
  • Still the WYSIWYG and KISS interface
  • Still the simplicity and ease of use.

So, performance wise 100% (except for ballet and opera performances. Just doesn't do that too well at all).LOL.gif

Blessings,
