Hi Folks,

Just updated to the new version of E-sword 11.0.5 and the NEW BIBLES are not formatting properly when you use the COPY VERSES option. I replaced ALL the NEWER VERSIONS of the bibles (bblx files) with the ones from E-Sword version 10.4.0 and now they post and paste correctly.

Also, I noted that all my markups / highlighted verses in the newer bibles are not right, they are all chopped off with some text being highlighted and others not.

I'm running a Win7 Pro box here.

Thanks!!

Clint

Folks, I went back to version 10.4.0 because the new version isn't ready for prime time yet......... I do a TON of posting scripture online and not being able to paste correctly was driving me batty. :D  When some of the bugs get worked out I'll try updating at that time.

The markups/highlights are off because there is a bug when Pericope is enabled (disabling Pericope resolves this for now). This has been reported from the beginning, but none of the updates have fixed it yet.

On your Copy Verses problem, where is the formatting wrong? When you paste it where? When I tried pasting from Copy Verses into Study Notes or MS Word, it seemed fine. Where is the formatting wrong for you?

Yeah, it's not just you, I'm hearing this from a lot of people. I wish it weren't so because I can't update this website with the new version until 11.0 is widely accepted. :(

When I try posing to Facebook or notepad in windows....All the text just runs together HOWEVER this is ONLY the case with the NEWER BIBLE VERSIONS, the OLDER Bibles in 10.4.0 still work fine

Well, I had the foresight to backup my older version on another drive before updating to the new version so, it was just a matter of dragging and dropping the older version into the directory. What can ya do, it seems this is the nature of software these days......Reminds me of an old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Arnold

Make first a back-up of the all the old files that are used in 10.4.0 because the new downloads are based on the HTM apple format. (less or not compatible with  10.4.0)

Install again 10.4.0 in a new directory for example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword10

Restored Holy Bible 17 and the Restored Textus Receptus
