Ipad uses a different file format the e-sword on the PC does.

You can get a file conversion utility to convert the files to the correct format from the E-sword homepage:

You need to install the file directly on the Ipad once you have converted it in order for e-sword to find it

Here is detailed information which helps to explain how to get files onto the iPad:

I don't use iFunbox anymore but iTunes and file sharing.

I have a problem with transferring E-Sword modules from PC to IPad - similar to Jogirl and Jamesyeomans. I CAN transfer module files across from PC to IPad using either iTunes or iFunbox through the E-Sword app in file sharing;

BUT the transferred file is placed in a folder that has E-Sword files with extensions such as .brpi (but not any of the usual E-Sword module extensions); and the new module does not show up when I run E-Sword on the iPad.

(BTW: the E-Sword module was first converted to HD.)

There's obviously another folder somewhere on the iPad that holds all the many modules I have installed in the past - years ago.

I don't know how to access this folder and I don't want to 'jailbreak' the iPad.

Any help with this may be also useful to Jogirl and Jamesyeomans.

Thanks in anticipation,

BeeyaYZ

Look at the instructions on the official site.

I have tried the instructions in http://www.e-sword.net/ipad/faq.htm to transfer my recently compiled  .cmti files to E-Sword, without success. When I use ITunes File Sharing to add my .cmti files, they appear in the list of Esword files in iTunes but do not show up in the list of commentaries on E-Sword on the iPad (after re-starting E-Sword). (iFunbox is also no help.)

My iOS, E-Sword, TooltipNt, Apple HD converter are the latest versions.

Strangely, .cmti files that I have produced as far back as 2012 DO transfer OK to E-Sword through ITunes.

I'm curious to know if anyone has had success in transferring .cmti files compiled with the latest versions of the apps.

Anyone?

I would appreciate any further info.
