I just tried, and you also can't copy and paste Scripture into forums like this one.

Below are the test results of copying and pasting text I've done.

Test #1 A straight copy and paste from e-Sword.

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the spiritual blessings that Christ has brought us from heaven

Test #2 Using Copy Verses method

Test didn't work.

Test #3 Using Test #2 in e-Sword

Test successful

Test #4 Using Paste Into method in e-Sword

Test successful

I've also Tested the Paste Into method from Commentaries and Dictionaries to Study, Topic, and Journal Note editors, and all were successful.

All tests were done using e-Sword 11.02.

I've been having multiple problems with copying and pasting with E-Sword 11.06--copying from Commentary Notes to Topic Notes (text not formatting properly), copying in and out of Word (text losing formatting when pasted into Topic Notes).

Does anyone know a reliable place where I can download E-Sword 10.4 until these problems get fixed? I couldn't find it online.

Yours for the Kingdom of Christ,

Carl Hamblin.

Do a Google search for "e-Sword 10.4" without the quotes, and you will find numerous places to download it.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Thank you to user Journey for your advice re. where to find E-Sword 10.4.

Further to my post on 15th October I discovered an option in the E-Sword 11.0.6 Menu (Options > Editor Options > Paste As Formatted F11) which has greatly improved the situation for me within E-Sword itself. Copying and Pasting within E-Sword seems to be back to normal.

However, Copying and Pasting out of E-Sword 11.0.6 into other applications does not seem as good as it was previously. For example, I use The Brain (database) and in order to get formatted Scriptures into it, I have always pasted from E-Sword into Word, then from Word into The Brain which worked fine--until E-Sword 11.0.6, (now the font changes and introduces unwanted "Space After / Before" headings.) So hopefully these minor issues will be ironed out. I'm guessing it's something to do with the new HTML implementation.

Nonetheless, I give thanks to God through the Lord Jesus Christ for E-Sword which is still a fantastic blessing of the LORD, and thank you Rick Meyers for this wonderful software.

The macros don't seem to have any problem doing cut and paste. (at least for me) Getting them to set up....a little, but the but otherwise they seem to function well enough except for the occasional inclusion of formatting code (and that seems to be module specific)

I'm running windows 10 Home (1607); e-Sowrd11.0.6 and the macros for MS Word 16.0/2016 from the e-Sword site.

Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)
