Hello all,

Can't tell you how glad I am to see E-sword getting an update. It is a real blessing, and I use it constantly.

I've noticed a small problem, but perhaps it is my own making. When you go to the copy dialogue (drop down text is Copy Verses, looks like the normal copy button, but with a green circle with plus in the midst--I'm sure you know what I'm referring to), there is the option to include commentary notes. Unfortunately, this, from the drop down menu, only allows me to pull commentary notes from the default install modules (FB Meyer & TSK). Maybe, as I said, it is something I have done, since I haven't seen anyone else talking about it, or no one else really uses this option.

Is anyone aware of this, or has the same problem?

Thanks!

-Joel

When I have copied verses from the bible and wanted to include cmtx notes for say "the expository note of Dr Constable" then I would just pick that one out of the drop down list.  My list contains all of my cmtx files.  Are you saying that none of your other cmtx files are listed?

PS you do have the "include cmtx. notes chk box chked?

from Rick:

I have already "fixed" the search issue in the next update as it was annoying me as well The cursor will continue to activate the view it is over in main portion of the app, but the search dialogs will begin with the cursor in the search terms field upon dialog display, and stay there until *you* change the focus to another control. Also, pressing the <ENTER> key after entering the search term(s) will initiate the search itself.

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Here is a problem that I experienced, but I am not sure if it is all related.  I am using the FAST update track for Windows 10.  When I installed version 11.0.1 my Windows 10 Start button stopped working.  When I rolled back the installation (using Windows Restore rather than uninstalling e-Sword) the problem disappeared.  It may be related to the Search problem that someone else mentioned earlier.

Also, I use e-Sword on an 8" windows tablet.  I am always struggling to select the right tab, or navigating to books and chapters (especially chapters).  I did not see anything that indicated that this has been addressed.  Have I missed something?  Thanx!

I've heard this from quite a few people. And I see where it's annoying. Maybe email rick@e-sword.net and see what he says? That way, you will at least know if he's planning a fix or treating it as a feature.

Josh

It was puzzling at first but I totally like it now and hope he [does not] change it back. I've tried searching in different windows, copy/pasting, Copy Verses, Paste Into Study Notes, etc., and everything is hunky-dory with me. Just my two one-hundredths of a Federal Reserve Note's worth.

Praise God for Rick Meyers, BibleSupport, and e-Sword!

e-Sword v11.0.4 is released. The Pericope/highlight bug is still there. However, it looks like the "focus" complaint many had has been resolved?

You may have a permissions problem. Try installing e-Sword as the administrator. Right click the e-Sword install file and click run as administrator.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
