I purchased e-sword premium 2 or 3 years ago. I lost my hard drive when it started receiving error messages and turned my partition to unallocated raw file format.  I am unable to recover any of the programs or modules that I purchase and for that matter I lost 500gb of data..gone I don't know what version I had on there.

What do I do now? Everthing was wiped out.

Thx

Sounds like you need to:

  • Install the latest e-Sword version.
  • Regain the premium e-Sword modules you had by going to estudysource.com and ask them what modules you own, if you don't know.
  • Download any other modules you may have had, either from here or within e-Sword itself.

Just on the side. I don't know if you do this, but in the event you don't, then let me make this I MUST DO suggestion.

Backup Your Data

Hardrive failures, data losses by one method or another are a common factor. It even has happened to me. My most common data loss is by accidental deletion, and then emptying the Recycle Bin. But with me, I'm in the habit of backing up my data, which includes e-Sword resources.

To backup data is as easy and simple as just merely copying files from your System (C:) hardrive to either of the following:

  • A USB Memory Stick (Otherwise known as a Pendrive)
  • A USB External hardrive or Solid State Drive (SSD)
  • A SATA HDD or SSD with hot connection bay(s). If your Desktop PC doesn't have that, don't worry about it.
  • Or a Cloud provider, or you own home one.

The most common and frequent pieces of hardware used are the USB devices.

When working on a file, and one saves it, get into the habit of just banging a copy to that secondary device.

Then when you have catastrophic failures like you have experienced, then all it takes is to copy that data back to your hardrive. You might have lost a bit of data, but at least you've got 90% of it from your last backup.

Blessings,
