This is a post is a copy of one I made on http://www.biblesupp...ing/#entry27668

If AVG is such a pain in the neck by causing such a problem with e-Sword (and any other software you may be using) then uninstall that anti-virus program and install another different one that doesn't give you that problem.

AVG is not the best anti-virus program to have, and its certainly not user friendly going by reading these posts. My recommendation is to either install Avast or ClamWin. (ClamWin in an open sauce free anti-virus program which is totally free and is available at SauceForge.net.)

Blessings,

"Run as Administrator" works fine, but to make it permanent:

right click the icon - - go to properties - - left click the button [advanced]

In that window is a check box for "Run as Administrator" just check it and apply.

just ran into the same problem this morning and not being computer savvy, nearly flipped out! The AVG exception fix worked for me. Thanks to you all for helping out because it would be hard to get by without e-sword. Thanks again

I tried this afternoon to use the macro for office 2016 - it has always worked fine (macro 2016) but suddenly nothing happens when I click on any of the macro icons under add-ins. I'm using McAfee antivirus and don't think it's responsible but am not familiar with the program enough to find where to check if it's the problem. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted the computer and none of this has solved the problem.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium on my home computer.  Running into the problem of e-Sword program not starting up when I clicked on the e-Sword Icon.  After running the Malwarebytes anti-malware program, "mbam-chameleon-3.1.29.0," it not only removed the offending problem, but notified me that a hacker's program named, "Reimage," installed itself.
