I am in the process of making many internal changes to the utility, "e-Sword HotKey".  I am making the program more aware of the target programs, whether they are installed or not and then not registering hotkeys for those programs or portions of the those programs depending on what is present, and thus the menu options will also not appear.  I do assume one thing, and that is that e-Sword is installed.  But if the e-Sword macros are not installed, then the associated hotkeys and menu will also not appear.  If the Folio Views program with the add-ons for the EG White comprehensive materials, the Pioneer Library, and/or the Letters and Manuscripts components are not present, then these hotkeys and menus will not appear in the program.  I may be adding more target programs in the future and I wanted to simplify that process seeing that my old process was quite cumbersome to add each new key.  With the new changes, I can add a new key in just a few lines of code.

I have modified the program so that is you want it to start automatically when you reboot windows, you do not need to start HotKey in Administrator mode, it will ask you permission right from within the program to make the necessary changes which does require Administrator mode.

The way one selects a hotkey has been completely changed.  You now select the key you want to change and it opens a window which allows you to directly press the key combination you want for the hotkey and it will be shown you in text on the screen what the key combination is.  You then have 3 options: you may "Register" the hotkey for use with the program,  "Unregister" the key so that hotkey becomes disabled freeing up that key combination, or click "Cancel" to leave the hotkey unchanged from its previous combination. See the HotKey menu.

There is a new hotkey combination which when pressed will Speak the current time in 24hour time.  That default hotkey combintation is: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+O

This can be used to test key combinations, or can be disabled by "Unregistering" the hotkey.

I need for a few others whose system is not tainted by my installed program to test "e-Sword HotKey" and tell me if experience any problems.  I have tested the beta on Windows 7 and 10 and both appear to function fine.

The beta can be downloaded here:

https://dl.dropboxus...KeySetup372.exe

There will likely be more updates as more "features" are added or more likely bugs are found and swatted.

For those unfamiliar with "e-Sword HotKey", it is a utility that provides all the functionality of the e-Sword Macros for Microsoft Word, but will work for any program.  It is also a way to quickly look up scripture references in e-Sword, or lookup a list of  references.  It required that e-Sword be installed at a minimum, and that ANY version of the e-Sword Macros be installed for the added functionality or the Macros.

For e-Sword see:  http://www.e-Sword.net

For the e-Sword Macros, see: http://www.e-sword.net/extras.html
