####

This site is much more effective at deliving resources to users than e-Sword-users.org was.
  • It offers more files for e-Sword 8.x, e-Sword 9.x, and Pocket e-Sword;
  • The numbers reflected in that statistical data are higher than e-Sword-users.org had;
####

I did make make some transcription errors, in doing the statistics. Those errors don't affect my point --- which is that it is doing a better job of delivering resources than e-Sword-users.org did.

When I make time, I'm going to let the user view the top downloads by category. So the 10 or 20 (or whatever) most downloaded topics, commentaries, bibles, etc would be viewable. Most interesting will be the topics, I think, to see which of just those are the most downloaded.

While I'm at it, I intend on letting the user pick a time frame. So you can see the overall most downloaded files since the beginning, since last week, since last month, etc. Or, you could view the most downloaded commentaries in the last week. We have the data, might as well use it. I think I can design the interface with drop down menus (or umm, combo list boxes as it was recently explained to me...) to show the most options with the smallest space.

You described how users can do that in a previous post.

Go to "Show Filter Options"

Select "Downloads" for the sort files by option;
Select "Z-A" for the in option,
Select 9999 for the order limted to option;

Z - A goes from highest to lowest number of downloads.
A - Z goes from lowest to highest number of downloads.

Amazing, I got something done by doing nothing... hahah

I didn't realize one of the sort options was by download. That's cool.
