In order to minister the Gospel to a Jehova Witness I would like to be able to download the JW's New World Translation (NWT) into e-Sword to view it in parallel to orthodox translations. Is it possible to do that? I do not see the NWT as a download. Thanks!

Not on this site.

1) Restricted Theology
Please do not upload material promoting, advocating, or proselytizing:

  • The Jehovah's Witnesses, Watchtower Society, or other cults.
  • Islam
  • Other material that denies the deity of Jesus Christ. If you're unsure, you may upload anyway, but the material is subject to a review.

2) Module Unavailable:

Resource is Non-Distributable due to license

(It means that it is copyrighted by the JW)

If you make or find a REAL version then is it possible just as any other bblx file.

By the way there are several versions of NWT (1950,1961,1984 and 2013) but they are all guilty of doctrine paraphrasing.

ERROR 403 - FORBIDDEN

The JW are serious about their copyright. Just imagine how easy it would be to proof them wrong. Im looking forward to find an e-sword module to compare bibleversions next to each other. Friends of mine got so deep into the delusion it may be the only chance to correct them. Is someone capable to explain how to create a module on my own? Please help

You will need two things:

1. a copy of the NWT in ether text or pdf format

2. the e-sword module creation tool known as Tooltip NT installed on your computer

You will have to copy the NWT text in to Tooltip NT in order to create a working module for e-sword

It's not quantities of Bibles you need, it's the quality of context and harmony of principles.

When Jesus was dealing with the Pharisees he used scriptural context, he didn't throw lots of scrolls at them. Remember the Bible principle "though hand join in hand". (Proverbs 16:5) There is also the secular phrase 'Argumentum ad populem'.

Some people look for scare stories about Jehovah's Witnesses, but 99% of those stories aren't true and easily dismissed, so that method would only destroy your credibility.

The only way to prove whether something is right or wrong is knowledge. Specifically pray to God, the living author of the Bible, to see the Bible's context and principles, not those who just make copies of it. He will help you make the right connections.

There can only be one Truth.

All doctrinal issues aside, we could not host the New World Translation, even if we wanted, because of copyright issues.

Although they might appear at your door to be quite giving of information, in reality, they are some of the largest DCMA complaint filers against religious websites who host their material.

They were the ones who printed that book, "Millions Now Living will Never Die."  That one can be found online, and it is out of copyright.  That's a good one to bring up to them--most J.W.s have never heard of that book.

Abraham thought the blessings he was told of through the visiting Angel were going to be expressed through his servant Eliezer, then through Hagar, until he finally got it when he had it explained again that the blessings were coming through his wife, Sarah, having her reproductive abilities restored.

There are several more examples like this in the Bible involving very faithful servants, where a message or teaching was was received and misunderstood because of an enthusiasm to carry it out. The eventual result was what God purposed because of His understanding, patience, and grace towards their imperfect state. Basically, they didn't want to remain wrong, repented, and readjusted.

That's all well and good to say, except the Jehovah's Witnesses claim that their writings are inspired, that God speaks through the Watchtower publishing department.  So if they printed a lie (which they did) and claimed it was inspired (which they did), then it isn't a "misunderstanding."  It is a lie.
