I recently got a new computer with Windows 10. I downloaded the Works of Josephus, I know its a zip file that needs to be extracted, but I am unfamiliar with Windows 10. How do I get the files into Esword?

Hi Lynette,

It works in the exact same way as in previous versions of Windows using its file manager system.

I am also having problems. When I down load can't find X86 files and so will not download.

You are very little on details and you are hoping like crazy that we can resolve your problem on flimsy information.

Is your version of Windows 10 32 Bit or 64 Bit?

If its a 32 Bit edition, you will find your e-Sword resource files installed in C:\Program Files\e-Sword. If its a 64 Bit edition, then your e-Sword resources files are installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword. Note this, only in 64 bit versions of Windows 10 (as in Windows 7, 8, 8.1) there are two Program Files folders:

  1. C:\Program Files. This holds all 64 Bit program.
  2. C:\Program Files (x86). This holds all 32 bit programs. e-Sword is a 32 bit program and that is where its installed, and that is where all its resources are installed unless directed to install otherwise by the user.

Now, if you are using e-Sword's download manager to download and install files onto your PC, this will, (depending of what type of Windows you have, whether it a 32 Bit version or a 64 Bit version) install the resource files in its default folder as seen above.

If you are downloading from here, the resources are downloaded to your default  Download folder set by Windows and/or by your web browser, or are downloaded to where you configured your web browser to download it to.

Of coarse this is purely guess work on my part due to the lack of information from you.

Blessings,
