All lower case RDLB, "rdlb" is what I have used for years around many boards.  A former devoted Atheist to the tearing down of Christian belief systems and now a committed Christian, Pastor and Teacher of His Word for the past 4 decades.  I prefer any word for word translation of the Scriptures to study and most often use my Nelson Strongs KJV to read and teach from.  I do not consider myself to be an expert in the original Biblical languages, I use Strong's Exhaustive to help my understanding and attended a Koine Greek class in college.  When as a new born Christian, I attended a variety of churches and discovered way too many differences of opinions concerning scriptural interpretations.  I decided then to allow the scriptures to teach the scriptures and left the main stream orthodoxies.

I have no church label to identify with other than "His Church".  I believe in Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers for the perfecting of the Saints, that they are set in "His Church".  I believe in the gifts of the Spirit, given severally as "He" will.  I also strongly believe that the revelation of scripture does not come from man, but comes from Jesus Christ to the individual as they are able to live in and from that revelation.

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Hello and welcome. I hope that you enjoy BibleSupport.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Hello "rdlb"!

I'm glad you made it to this wonderful site and ministry. How long have you been using E-sword? I saw from your note that you believe in the 5-fold ministry. I totally understand your getting frustrated at the different opinions and interpretations. I too have had my fill of that as well. A few years back I sold my entire library which was rather large because I was sick of all it. I adopted the concept that you have which is to let Scripture interpret Scripture...and where it doesn't I don't dabble there. I love E-sword and use it for Bible study. I've purchased the different Bible modules and dictionaries and will continue to do so.

You can also start a Blog here on Bible Support and give the link out to others to come see it. Doing so will boost the flow of people to see the site as well as your blog.

I also like the fact that if I post a question that I get feedback pretty quickly. There are good people here and I've had nothing but good experiences here.

God bless and I hope to see you around.

We're happy to have you with us. You have over 10 posts now, so you're a veteran. Things will continue to get easier in using the site with a little bit more practice. I hope that you continue to enjoy Bible Support. Josh and the Staff here do an amazing job - simply a labor of love for God.
