Is this or an equivalent available? Since English words are translated by different Hebrew or Greek words, I find these indispensable. Have I missed something here?   Thanks, Philip Payne

Hi Philip,

e-Sword uses a derivative of the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge which comes with e-Sword. Perhaps this is the closest resource that would act as a concordance. Beyond that there isn't an actual concordance for e-Sword.

 

Having said that, e-Sword does have a very good search engine which does an excellent job of finding verses of Scripture you are looking for, and therefore acts like a concordance. Moreover one can save their searches as a Verse List, of which then can be used a "Concordance." Of course this in no way can act as a Strong's Concordance, however, it is the best one can do with e-Sword. Not only that, but also one can search multiple translations/versions of the Bible using e-Sword's Extended Search which can really come in handy. The only thing is one cannot save the search results as a Verse List using this part of e-Sword's Search.

 

Oh yeah, I just remembered. e-Sword does have its own derivative of the Strong's Dictionary which uses the Strong's Numbering system, and also has the King James Version with Strong's Numbers. You can use this KJV+ Bible in conjunction with Strong's Dictionary. And it just doesn't stop there, in fact it really gets better. There are also other Dictionary resources which uses the Strong's Numbering System for both Greek and Hebrew, which works well with the KJV+, including the NASB+, ABP+, plus both Greek and Hebrew Bibles available for e-Sword.

Thanks Brother, I have found all those things and am amazed by God's goodness thru this site. It is hard to stay away from studying when exposed to all these helps.  But who would want to stay away from THE WORD OF LIFE? It is for these times.   The Lord and King Yeshua is near!
