To the moderator:

Sorry, this question is not exactly fitting this (or any) category on your site. Nevcrtheless I hope you will let it pass to

the attention of the bible support members.

To the readers:

I am looking for a search engine on my site http://www.nieuwetestament-2010.org

Not an external code like that of google, but an off-linemachine like that of e-sword.

I have tried a lot of these engines, but none was doing so well as e-sword. Besides

this: most of them were in English and I want the search and results screen (if possible

to translate) in Dutch.  Further on I have only knowledge of HTML and not of gci, perl

and other extensions I met on my query.

The above-mentioned site will in short time be expanded with the old testament to a

new site with the whole bible(God willing). The lay-out of this new site is almost the

same as the one of the first site, but (as I can find it) with a search function extra.

Is there anyone among you, readers, who may give a good advice or tip?

Thank you very much in advance.

Ben

Rather than relying on pure html files, I think you need to find a Content Management System (CMS) to put this into. This would leverage off-the-shelf functionality for both organizing/dividing content and searching content. I think your going to have to learn PHP.

If you wanted an "offline" program, you would have to code that for each platform you want it to run on. I think I'd stick with the online version.
