Can you copy e-sword to a CD from your hard-drive, and all your applicable programs, public domain to a CD to be used on a laptop that does not have the Inter-net and the only source for e-sword will be the CD?

You might need several CD's or a DVD. You want to put the install e-Sword program from the official e-Sword site. Install e-Sword first and then copy over the modules you want from your CD's or DVD. I hope this helps. If you're wanting to run e-Sword without installing it to the laptop, I don't think it will work.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Yes, from legal viewpoint:

from the help about:

The program may be used free of charge by any person or organization to whom it is made available,
provided that that person accepts the conditions of this license.

You may make copies for yourself and friends, provided that any distribution is also free.

You may not charge for the program itself, nor may you charge for any type of duplication costs, postage, etc.
You must not do anything to suggest to the person to whom it is distributed that e-Sword is anything other than free software.
Neither the e-Sword program, nor any associated modules, may be sold or resold, distributed as a part of any commercial package,
or used or distributed to support any kind of profit-generating activity
, even if it is being distributed freely.
