It took me a while to get it all...here it is y'all....God Bless...Study and enjoy...{['D=

To convert windows modules into e-sword X files.

Open Crossover, select ‘Run Command’, next go to the ’Use Bottle’ box select ‘e-sword’ in the bottles file list.

Next click on browse, the drive_c screen will open, click on the ‘Program Files’ link, then click on ‘e-sword folder’ the file containing all the modules will appear, scroll down till you find ‘e-SwordAppleModuleCovert.exe’ file.

Either double click on the file, or highlight the file and click on open at the bottom of page.

Then click the ‘Browse’ icon on the ‘Run Command’ Launcher.

The Module Converter will open, click on the ‘Type’ box and it will show a selection of which to choose from (Bible, Commentary, ect.) that you want to convert.

Next go to the drop down window ’Module’ click on the little folder icon at the end of the drop down window all the files of the ‘Type’ of files you selected will open, make a selection of what file you want to convert.

Then click on the ‘Convert’ icon and let it convert the file to e-sword X file.
Files will convert into .bbli, .cmti, .refi files.

Close the ‘Converter Utility’ click the ‘Browse’ icon on the ‘Run Command’ and the ‘drive_c’ file will open back up, look for the converted file, transfer your converted file from here to the eSwordX directory.

THEN:

Convert the modules and import them to the eSwordX directory.

Once all modules are converted:

On your desktop, Holding the option key, go to the toolbar hit GO/and then click on Library and browse to this directory:

Library/Containers/Net.e-sword.e-Sword-X/Data/Library/Application Support/

Copy the converted modules and drop them there.

Its a good idea to create a shortcut of this folder:
Select the Application Support Folder and do one of the following:

a. Right click over the folder and select Make Alias then drag that folder to your desktop or wherever you wish. OR

b. Drag the Application Support Folder to the Sidebar (I prefer this way).

If you wish to make a back up of all your modules this is the folder you must save.

Thanks to

Close the ‘Converter Utility’ click the ‘Browse’ icon on the ‘Run Command’ and the ‘drive_c’ file will open back up, look for the converted file, transfer your converted file from here to the eSwordX directory.

Where is the eSwordX directory? And how do I transfer the files there?

Dear Support friends...

I have purchased e-Sword X and have about 60 Bibles for the Windows side of my Mac. I also downloaded the Apple converter for the many modules that I have. But, here's what I've been running into: Several of the Bibles (that's all I've been working on converting at this point) come up with an error message that they are locked and can't be converted! But they are being used with the windows side so how are they locked? Is there some appropriate way to unlock them? These are not paid-for modules but were all obtained free down through the years. Do you have any thoughts/suggestions as to why they may be locked and if they can be unlocked? Examples are: abp+.bblx and the asv.bblx

Thanks for any input or help you can provide!

Topic Friends...

Well, I have solved some of the problem by installing the Bible and resources from the built in installer/updater... So that has sped things along considerably! Wonderful!  But: I have the message.bblx but it does not install when converted... this was one I got BEFORE it was charged for, a number of years back. So, any reasons as to why this won't install? Is is because it is now a paid for and somehow e-Sword sees this or is it something else...? Thanks for any help.

Locked means that the module is password protected to prevent change. These are usually official modules from e-Sword or pay modules. Download what you can through e-Sword, including the pay modules you have bought. Use the same keys you were given when you purchased them. eStudySource is probably where you bought them and has kept a record:

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Thanks for your response... but, I didn't pay for any of these and all were downloaded from the older e-Sword site before BibleSupport.com... So, don't know what may be the issue... Thanks for the info...

Shalom,

This topic is very helpful, and I have been able to convert a few modules as a test before I purchase e-Sword X.

However, I found a problem, and I wonder if anyone has discovered a solution.

Some of the modules I have are .mapx files, and the e-SwordPCtoAppleModuleConverter does not seem to have a .mapx Type.

Does anyone know what I might do to fix this because I have some graphics modules that I really need to use in e-Sword X.

However, if all else fails I can keep CrossOver on my Mac with the current installation of e-Sword for Windows.

Any helpful advice is appreciated.

Thank you.

Shalom

Hello.  I have Esword X on my MacBook.  It is a great program.  One problem that anyone can help me with is:

When I shut down the program, it shuts down my previous window Configuration.  Is there a way to keep the same window Configuration after shutting down and restarting?  Thanks

Hi, not sure about if I fully understand your question.  I did a lot of graphic modules (most are Atlas) for Apple devices.  a screenshot here.  Blessings, Eliran
