Hi,

I used to be able to arrange my esword so that the bible pane took up the majority of the screen with the commentary, editor, and dictionary occupying a small section on the right hand side. Currently my setup will only allow the commentator and or editor to land in the small section on the right with the dictionary taking up half of the main screen at the bottom.

I find this quite frustrating as the dictionary in this position makes the bible too small to be useful.

Does anyone know how to make the dictionary land in the small section on the right hand side?

Thanks!

PS I am using windows 8 if that matters.

Dan....

I'm going to take a quick shot at this.....based just on the facts you gave.....I too use Windows 8....try unpinning the Dict. window. Just click on the small pin (Looks like a thumb tack)....in the extreme upper right hand corner of the window. That's where I have my Dict. placed as well ! Of course you can resize the Dict. window to make it smaller if you choose.

Dartmaster,

Thank you, but that doesn't work. The other two (commentary and editor) land on the far right where I want them, but pinning and unpinning the dictionary doesn't get it there. It only lands below the Bible and takes up way to much of the screen.I can only re-size it up and down below the Bible.

Do you mean that your dictionary is over on the right?

I have Windows 8.1 and see no difference between Windows 7 and 8.1 for this functionality.

Press F1 in e-Sword to view the User's Guide. Page 24 and forward deals with customizing the window panes.

You can also click Help > Reset e-Sword Settings to return to the default e-Sword view.

Thank you Josh,

The Docking instructions on page 26 of the user guide is what I needed. Now I have the commentary, editor, and dictionary landing over on the right where I like them!

And there's this video I did a tad over a year ago on this very topic.

Trust this will also prove helpful.
