I want to rename my current default topic.topx, etc for archive and then create brand new (empty) replacements for the journal, study and topic files. I know I can rename them. How do I create the new files? Thank you.

I want to rename my current default topic.topx, etc for archive and then create brand new (empty) replacements for the journal, study and topic files. I know I can rename them. How do I create the new files? Thank you.
For both Journal and Study Notes, to create an empty new file in e-Sword:
- Ctrl+Right Mouse Button, click on the page and a context menu will appear
- Select and Click on New...
- In the New dialog box, give the file a unique name, and then click the Save button.
To create a new blank Topic Note in e-Sword, its slightly different. Once e-Sword has started up, the topic.topx file loads by default unless a another topic note file has been opened. But assuming the topic.topx file has been opened, and its blank (has no text and added pages in it) you will notice that the toolbars in the Topic Note editor are disabled with the exception of just one button, and that the Topic combobox is blank. When its like that, one cannot simply create a new topic note file straight away in the same way as in the Study and Journal note editors. Therefore a the very first thing that has to be done is to create a new Topic by clicking on the New Topic button on the bottom toolbar, and in the New Topic Dialog, type in a Topic Title, e.g., Topic Note, or something similar, then follow the same steps as seen above for the other editors.
If wanting to create a new Topic Note file from within an existing open file, then just follow the same procedures as seen above.
I trust this is helpful to you.
Blessings,
