In Christian Classics Ethereal Library they are posting an Expositors Bible. It seems different from the one we have in e-sword. For example, Genesis is by Marcus Dods. Could it be made a Commentary for e-sword?

This is the Expositor's Bible currently formatted for eSword & TheWord.

The General Editor of this set was William Nicoll. But he did not write any of the individual volumes. He simply edited the volumes as they were produced. For instance: Marcus Dods' handled not only the Genesis volume, but also Gospel of John (2 Vols.) and 1 Corinthians.

DoctorDaveT: Thank you very much for your kind answer. It certainly clears my misunderstanding!

I certainly enjoy William Nichols opus!

Hi Dave,

When you guys put out the Expositors Bible Commentary as a topx file, I have to admit, that was quite brave of going down that road. The amount of work you guys did to that work, I was totally gob smacked at the quality of it you put into it. I think that just by that piece of work you guys began to show the requirement of excellency needed in e-Sword's resources. In other words, you raised the bar of the standard required for e-Sword resources.

I never got to thank you for the work that you and your team put into it. So, thanks a great deal for it, it really is appreciated.

Since Josh Bond put out the cmtx version of Expositors Bible Commentary, I've been using that more than using the topx one for obvious reasons, like, it synchronizes with the Bible. With that is said, as crazy as it sounds, I still have the topx volumes on my Hardrive.

So, once again, Dave, thanks for putting out an incredible piece of work.

Blessings,

I was just one of a fantastic group of module builders. May God bless them for the incredible work they did on this project.

Ed; Jason; Pamela: fondly referred to as "Our Merry Little Band" - they are the ones who did the yeoman's share of the work. Thanks, team, for letting me be part of your work.

One more note: this was hardly the only project they did. They are probably responsible for 250+ .topx modules that were created from the summer of 2010 to the fall/winter of 2012. They produced a ton of modules. And yes - they're module quality was top notch.
