I have never used a program such as this, so this is probably a dumb question -- I'm known for those :-) -- but does your PC at home have to be "On" and booted to Windows? IOW, can the PC be shut down and I can be in a motel room 500 miles away and successfully use it?

Okay, I found out the answers to the above post were "Yes" to the first question and "No" to the second. The PC has to be on and running in order to use TeamViewer from the Galaxy Tab 3.

Still got some learnin' to do, though.

Edited to add a tip.

TIP:  Do not set your Windoze taskbar to Auto-hide on the remote PC. Else you won't be able to access it in TV!

Well...at least I couldn't find out how to do so. :-/

Hi Tom,

I now use an Android Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 Professional tablet. When I first learned how I could do this, I had the Galaxy 10.1 Note tablet. On the 10.1 tablet it was rather too small to use, however on the 12.2 Professional tablet is much better to use.

I use a remote connection program called TeamViewer, which is relatively simple and straightforward to setup, of which I quite like. My tablet does not have internet connection, so I use WIFI Hotspot on my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone, and connect to it using the tablet's WIFI. It's a tad slower that way as my phone is a G3 phone, and not G4, which I understand is a lot faster connection Mobile connection. The Galaxy S6 Edge is what I will be getting soon, and that baby really sings (is really fast).

Using e-Sword via remote connection is really not the best, however it is better than nothing. I only use e-Sword this way on my tablet only when I need resources that are not available for MySword; otherwise I use MySword. Also, I find using a Bluetooth Mouse on the tablet is really helpful when it comes to navigating screen, and that its better than using the SPen (that's the stylus which comes with the tablet) as I find the it not very good for or not as good as the mouse for navigation.

I trust you will find this extra information helpful to you.

Blessings,

I use TeamViewer to remote a computer across town that feeds a scanner radio to the internet. That program saves me a bit of driving.
