Yes, there is a way to avoid reinstalling all of the files en mass rather than individually, but as exsentric pointed out, it requires backing up your c:\programfiles (X86) directory periodically.
I do so not only as a safeguard against situations like yours, but because by doing so I can keep my desktop and my laptop synced.
I copy from the DVD I backed up from to the machine I didn't back up from (generally from laptop to desktop) telling it to replace any copies with the most recent version.
If you did do a backup, you will still have to reinstall e-Sword to get the registry stuff set up properly.
Don't forget to back up your topx and other user files as well (generally found in your documents > e-sword)
