I've searched high and low on the forums, but I haven't seen this basic question asked, or answered: Are people (successfully) using any other Greek font besides TITUS Cyberbit Basic? I'm talking program-wide, as in "Options -> Fonts."  The reason: comparatively speaking, I find it harder to read than various other ones.

Jeff

Titus cyberbit basic has the most Greek character so if you change to another font you may run into boxes within the text

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

If it's a choice of one, it's the choice I'll use!

Thanks for your response.

Titus Cyberbit Basic is also the default font used in e-Sword for Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and Arabic.

e-Sword's Font Settings Dialog

Some users have experienced difficulties with other types of Greek and Hebrew fonts. Some also have experienced difficulties Titus Cyberbit basic, but that came down more to the type of Greek and Hebrew text they were using which required special fonts for them.

All in all, Titus Cyberbit Basic is pretty much a safe font to use, and the only time one really needs to use a different font is if its only really required to do so. However, whenever this has to be done, rather than chainging the default font in the Font Settings Dialog (see Screenshot above), all one needs to do is to set the font in rtf code in either SQLite or T4.

There is any License for Titus Cyberbit Basic that allows us to use it?

In e-Sword for Windows version 12.2.0 select the option "Font Settings". Here the option for Greek, True Type Galatia SIL can be changed. Rick Meyers, who is the developer of e-Sword, provides access to True Type TITUS Cyberbit Basic as one of the available options which he authorizes you to use for personal use on your copy of e-Sword.

To see the License for your version of e-Sword, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\e-sword\ folder, and view the contents of the file "License.pdf", which applies to your latest downloaded version of e-Sword.

This copyright applies to all program files, add-on modules, documentation, graphics, and auxiliary files, except those parts written by other people (which are normally under copyright by their authors). The license applies to the whole program.

This license describes the conditions under which you may use and distribute e-Sword. If you are unable or unwilling
to accept these conditions in full, then, notwithstanding the conditions in the remainder of this license, you may not use, nor distribute the program at all. e-Sword is free software. This license is designed not to restrict your freedom except insofar as is necessary to ensure that the program remains free for all. If you want to do something that is against this license, but within the spirit of free software, then let's talk about it.
1. The program may be used free of charge by any person or organization to whom it is made available, provided that
that person accepts the conditions of this license.

If you require further details on the copyright owner of TITUS Cyberbit Basic, please contact Rick Meyers directly.

You will probably find fonts that have been already loaded on your PC, available for you to preview, and list, in the folder available from the Control Panel\Appearance and Personalisation\Fonts with the option to enable you to get more font information online.

Thank you for your query.

If you want to know details of the font, simply look in the font properties. Type, 'font settings', in the Windows search gadget, and you can open the settings to search a font and find out its details.
