Hi All,

I would greatly appreciate any feedback on the following as I am new to Biblesupport.

1. How to install a resource on WIN XP system ?  I downloaded Adolph Saphir's Herberws commentary, which was zipped & had a .topx extension , but could not find E-Sword installer module in Utilities which I believe I need in order to install the commentary.

2. How do I install the same commentary on a MAC computer ? is the process the same as on Windows syste.

3. Is it also possible to do this on an IPAD or Android tablet.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards John

1) You don't need to install but to unzip and place the topx in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword

or

C:\Program Files\e-Sword

2) in the e-Sword map

3) No, you need first to convert or download the iPad version (for e-sword HD) or the MySword version for Android

To view a topx you must look with e-Sword in the reference library (this is the icon with the books near the icon with the mountain and the sun )

Hi,
I'v been busy downloading a few resources, & it works exceptionally well & super fast.
A heart felt thankyou to Rick, Josh and all those who contributed to the process,
being an IT person I appreciate the amount of work that goes into fantastic design
its reliability. & ease of use.

Having said that! I am a bit unsure what to do with below PDFs from Newberry bible download,
their names suggest that I should copy/paste them somewhere ?

0bGen to 2KI NB edit.pdf
0c1Ch to Lam NB.pdf
0d1Ch to Lam NB edit.pdf
0eEze to Mal NB.pdf
0fEze to Mal NB edit.pdf
0gNBNT.pdf
0hNBNT edit.pdf

Also how do I find out if a book is in public domain ? which I believe it must be before uploading, I have a few David Baron books on the topic of Israel which I have scanned and are in PDF format,  which  I would  like to upload. The only issue there is that the format prevents searches.

Blessings

John

Hi

the Newberry Pdfs are for anyone who wishes to undertake the project of creating a module out of them

there are two types of PDF there regular and editable

the regular is the scanned images of the bible

the editable is so the text can be manipulated and made to match the scanned pdf

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Hi All,

Some resources have a .topx & .exe & others have a zip & .exe & yet others have a different set of iles.

In below examples, I have been installing all the files!, is that correct ?

Examples:

Hello,

An exe version will automatically install the resource for you. When you download and run the exe version, you do not need to do anything else.

A zip file contains the resource and you must install it yourself if you download the zip version.

e-Sword reads both topx and refx files. You don't need both, though.
