The New MySword v5.1 RC1 is out and the new Migration tool v2.4.  This new migration tool converts my study bible from the Word which is very complex.

Hi all,

MySword came out with v5.2 rc1. This new version is the best so far. The cmt and dct shows what is available in them.
They are always improving MySword. It is very good to study the bible

How do you set up the split path - finally found box to check but no way to set second path.

My Flatmate showed me this last night...Go to display settings and select 2 or 3 columns under NUMBER OF COLUMNS and then under COLUMN GAP choose "0"

 

Adding very cool reading space and still works great with split screen!

All,

The latest version of MySword is 5.2 (and whatever build you want to throw in).

 

If you have your apps set to Auto Update then you should have the latest version and build of MySword. However, if your apps are not set to Auto Update, all is not lost as you can still download the latest version from Play Store or directly from the MySword website.

As I am working on my study bible, I am using over 15 colours in my bible. Each colour will represent something diferent. The colour theme for my bible is linin or for the deluxe version, it is parchment.

The things I like about MySword is:
1. The many colours you can use in your bible
2. The scripture references (pop ups) in your bible
3. The notes (pop ups) in your bible
4. Maps (pop ups) in your bible
5. Strong (pop ups) in your bible
and several (?) more pop ups in your bible
This is for: when you make your own bible

You can do many more things with making your own bible than e-Sword. Maybe another down fall is converting map modules to ipad.

What is the benefits of using MySword than other softwares (tablet and phone)?

What I like about is
A) portability. With e-sword you need to be in front of a pc
unlike youversion, mysword is a complete bible study suite, and not just a bible reader
C) multiple columns.

That is true. MySword is always upgrading (making it better). The technical team is very helpful. If you have sown into their ministry you will get the deluxe version. Please try not to look at it as paying for the deluxe version, but sowing. It is liken as to giving an offering freely. If you have a suggestion of making it better, they will try to improve it.

The main thing I like about MySword is the ability to put pictures in the bible as pop ups. It really has made my Study Bible much better.

Well bro, sounds nice, but it still is a payment for it.

 

Here is what gets to me about MySword, which I really believe is a downside of it, and that is an inferred dishonesty, or an inferred lie.

 

On Goggle play, MySword is stated as free, and nothing about MySword being a Cut Down version of donorware. Also, because MySword is stated as free, due to the kind of statement made that

The FREE Version is made possible through the generous gifts of our Donors and Partners.

 

Seems to imply that what one is getting is a fully capable operating Bible program without any limitations. Moreover, when one is actually required to make a minimum donation of US$50.00+ for the Deluxe version in order to be able to use all its capability, this, then, It is not, as you but it:

... giving an offering freely

 

Sorry, but that is not true. One is not giving a free will offering or an offering freely, but one is  required to donate if one wishes to have either the professional or the Deluxe editions. Also, the minimum donation requirements are set for how much to pay. That, in anyone's language, is not a free will offering. It is what it is, a requirement!

 

The "Free" version is nothing more than crippleware. I think that if there was more transparency to this, and if they actually took a leaf or two out of Rick Meyers' book, I can honestly say, I would have no issues with then either have a full paid version up on Google Play and paying for it, and/or an uncrippled free version up and then make a donation. In the way they are doing it now is nothing short of dishonesty. And if you are of a mind of telling them what I said, you are free to do so. Call a spade a spade, and not a shovel.
